General Objective: To characterize the engine and the nutritional status of children of 0-3 years from the center of Valledupar nutritional recovery performance.
Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional observational study in children 0-3 years of age hospitalized in nutritional recovery center Hospital Rosario Lopez Pumarejo of Valledupar between August and November 2015 were evaluated through the AIMS and abbreviated scale development. Results: Data from the study are 22 children hospitalized in nutritional recovery center hospital Rosario Lopez Pumarejo, from 1 August to 20 November 2015
Discussion: research association was found between the variables age and percentiles (p ≤ 0.5), age and total EAD (p ≤ 0.6), and diagnosis and coarse and fine an association of (p ≤ 0.5) motor, so, as in the case of children evaluated with the Alberta Motor scale percentiles show that 63.6% of children with delayed development motor development, this considering the severe global malnutrition was the cross diagnosis for all ethnicities evaluated.
Conclusions: It is essential to consider as a fundamental aspect for government and nongovernmental organizations, timely intervention factors that affect child malnutrition, through different programs that may decrease the effects of this, considering the vulnerability of ethnic groups The Caribbean Region.
